3 Walkerton men arrested for battery and disorderly conduct following late-night disturbance

Three men from the same Walkerton road were arrested early Tuesday morning after Marshall County Sheriff's deputies and Walkerton Police officers responded to a disturbance call and found them involved in a physical altercation.

Marshall County Central Dispatch received a 911 call at approximately 11:52 p.m. Monday, July 13th, reporting an unknown disturbance at a residence in the 100 block of Tamarack Road. Deputies and Walkerton officers arrived on scene and conducted an investigation, determining that three males had been engaged in a physical fight.

The three individuals — Joseph E. Richard, 43; Payton P. Richard, 20; and William R. Manns, 19 — all of Tamarack Road in Walkerton — were taken into custody and transported to the Marshall County Jail. All three were booked on charges of Battery, a Class A Misdemeanor, and Disorderly Conduct, a Class B Misdemeanor. Each was assigned a court date and issued a $500 cash bond.

The Marshall County Sheriff's Department was assisted in the investigation by the Walkerton Police Department.
