An early morning traffic stop by a Plymouth Police officer resulted in the arrest of three men from Fort Wayne and more than a dozen fraudulent identification and social security cards.
On Tuesday at approximately 12:15 a.m., Corporal Schieber with the Plymouth Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle traveling 70 mph in a posted 50 mph zone on U.S. 30 near Pioneer Drive.
The driver was identified as Pedro Hernandez-Hernandez, 36, of Ft. Wayne. Hernandez was found to have never been issued a license and was taken into custody.

A vehicle search was conducted, and officers found over a dozen fraudulent identification and social security cards.

After further investigation, two additional passengers were identified and taken into custody: Pascual Perez-Ruiz, 34, and Juan Diaz-Perez, 34, both of Ft. Wayne. All three subjects were lodged at the Marshall County Jail on preliminary criminal charges of felony fraud, forgery/counterfeiting, and misdemeanor possession of a false government identification card. Hernandez has an additional misdemeanor charge of operator never licensed.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
