The report of a driver swerving all over the roadway Tuesday afternoon just before two sent officers from the Plymouth Police Department to investigate.
On August 27th, Plymouth Police were notified of a possible intoxicated driver eastbound on U.S. 30 from the West County line.
Officer Witkowski observed the vehicle swerving all over the roadway and initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Oak Drive. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests ultimately proved that 21-year-old Cody Brooks of Nappanee was impaired.
Brooks was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for OWI just before three p.m. He was released on a cash bond at about 12:30 on Thursday morning.

Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury, at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
