
Earlier this month, the Plymouth City Council heard the ordinance setting salaries of appointed officers and employees, as well as fire and police personnel, on first reading.
Ordinance 2025-2244 outlines the pay increase for the 2026 budget.
Mayor Listenberger told GIANT fm WTCA the increase for next year averages out to a 3.5% increase, while Clerk-Treasurer Lynn Gorski said, “The 2026 Salary Ordinance provides a 3% increase or a 3% median increase, whichever is greater.”
Some of the proposed salaries for next year include the police and fire chiefs at $90,423.96; building commissioner at $74,364.16; planning director at $73,993.20; city attorney at $114,704.64; cemetery superintendent $71,406.96; street and park superintendents at $76,379.28; and the city utility superintendent at $112,839.84.
The Common Council will consider the 2026 Salary Ordinance on second and third readings at their next meeting on Monday, July 28th at 6:30 p.m.
