The Maxine Spitler Foundation has released it’s list of 2024 grant awards.
The foundation awards funding annually to organizations in both Lawrence and Jasper Counties who serve youth and provide care for animals. There were 14 applicants with 5 applicants from Lawrence County receiving money.
They are the Red Hill Jr/Sr High School Music Department-$2552 for audio equipment, Parkview Jr High-$1150 for P.E. equipment, Sumner Attendence Center-$1,899 also for P.E. equipment, Lawrence County Arts Council-$1,292 for Kids Theatre Week T-shirts and the Lawrence County Humane Society-$4,576 for it’s spay and neuter program along with fans for the animal shelter.
