Songwriter Caroline Cotter returns to the Wild Rose Moon Performing Arts Center for her sixth visit on Saturday, April 12th, from 7 to 9 p.m. for a concert and a live taping of the Wild Rose Moon Radio Hour In Historic Downtown Plymouth, Indiana.

Known for her personal and profoundly moving songs reflecting life’s challenges and lessons, Caroline has become a world-renowned singer-songwriter, playing extensively to crowds across Europe and the United States. “From her initial appearance at the Moon, Caroline just swept the room away with her clear and crystalline singing,” says George Schricker, Wild Rose Moon director, “Her songs are honest and simple, full of peace and compassion, they get into you and make you feel happy to be a human.”

Caroline bills herself as a “singer-songwriter, traveler, artist, teacher, and eternal student.” She sings about procrastination, love, death, and wonder. In her song, “The Year of the Wrecking Ball,” she pays tribute to those times when things fall apart, so we can begin again—“Sing for the light through the broken windows and the year of the wrecking ball.” It’s a universal idea, we’ve been there too.”
A philosophical truth seeker, Caroline often discusses her two pilgrimages–walking the Camino de Santiago, known in English as the Way of St James. The pilgrimage is a network of paths in Europe leading to the shrine of the apostle Saint James the Great in the cathedral de Compostela, in Galicia, in northwestern Spain. “I felt compelled to make the journey as a way of discovering and deepening my inner life,” she’s remarked.
Schricker rejoins, “So much of the creative journey of the travelling singer-songwriter is this path of the sacred quest. I always feel like everyone in the room participates with Caroline as she shares her work. She knows we are part of it. She welcomes us in through the songs, and we become part of each song’s beating heart.”
You can round up tickets for Caroline’s performance and appearance on the radio show by going to www.wildrosemoon.com or, if in town, secure them in person at A.S.K. for Flowers in Historic Downtown Plymouth. Bowen Printing generously sponsors the evening.
