The Marshall County Historical Society is sponsoring a Brown Bag Lunch & Lecture Event on Friday, October 10, from Noon – 1:00 p.m. Join Studebaker National Museum curator Kyle Sater for an in-depth look at the life and legacy of one the heroes of the Revolutionary era—the Marquis de Lafayette—and his triumphant return to the United States for a “farewell tour” in 1824-1825. Mr. Sater will also share the story behind the oldest vehicle in the Studebaker’s collection, a carriage used by Lafayette’s party on this tour. So come celebrate the bicentennial of this remarkable event and learn about America’s favorite fighting Frenchman!
