Zone to hold girls travel basketball tryouts PLYMOUTH - The Zone will hold 2 free tryouts for its 2019 girls high school travel basketball teams. The tryouts will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday Feb. 20 and from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday Feb. 24 at The Zone. The tryouts are free. Players are more than welcome to attend both tryouts or can just attend one. Last year there were three high school girls travel basketball teams and they expect to have at least that many again this year. Teams will be announced the week of Feb. 25 and begin practicing the week of March 4. The Zone's travel basketball coaching staff will include: LaPorte HS' Patrick Jones, Argos HS' Dan Dewar, Winamac HS' Kari & Kyle Johnson, Knox HS' Neill Minix and The Zone's Gage Ott, Dwayne Morton and Jordan Mount. All of The Zone's teams are affiliated with Indiana Elite and will wear Adidas uniforms that will include shorts, jerseys, shooting shirts and Adidas shoes.
