Class 2A, No. 9 Triton Central improved to 4-0 for the first time since 20-18 with a 24-14 win Friday over Monrovia.
With the win, the Tigers took the early lead in the inaugural Hoosier Legends Conference standings.
Triton Central opened the game Friday with a 15-play drive that ended with quarterback Matthew Wilkins scoring from the 1-yard line.

In the second quarter, Braden Brown (photo) caught a pass from Wilkins and turned it into a 53-yard scoring strike for a 14-0 lead that held at halftime.
Kicker Nick Tormoehlen missed a 38-yard field goal in the first half but connected from 40 yards in the third quarter to extend the lead to 17-0.

The Bulldogs (1-3, 0-1 HLC) finally got on the scoreboard in the fourth quarter, but Cooper Marlin (photo) answered right back with an 88-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
Monrovia added on a late touchdown to set the final score.

The Bulldogs had 156 yards rushing on 42 attempts, but no ball carrier surpasses 80 yards.
Indian Creek (4-0, 1-0 HLC) is the only other unbeaten team left in the conference. The Braves crushed Beech Grove (3-1, 0-1 HLC) Friday, 42-0.
Tri-West improved to 3-1 (1-1 HLC) with a 63-21 win over Speedway (0-4, 0-1 HLC).
Monrovia is at Beech Grove this week.
