The Paris Tigers used a strong ground game to blow open the game in the second half Friday night and hand the Lawrenceville football Indians their second straight lopsided loss 48-7 at Paris.
It was once again the tale of two halves as the Indians trailed the hosts 12-7 at the half only to have them scored three touchdowns in the third quarter to put the game away.
Paris ran for 380 yards on the night, led by running back Carter Crippes with 180 yards and three TDS and running back Dawson Rogers with 130 yard and a TD. The Tigers had 413 yards in total offense.
The Indians were held to only 142 yards in total offense. Running back Nick Moorehead led the attack with 69 yards rushing and scored the only Indian touchdown on a 2-yard run in the first half.
Paris is now 3-1 on the season and 1-1 in Little Illini Conference (LIC) play while the Tribe falls to 1-3 overall and 0-2 in the LIC. The Indians will return home to Ed Loeb Field Saturday September 26th to host the Casey-Westfield Warriors for Homecoming 2025.
