Southwestern's Kyle Beck and Shelbyville's Aiden Smith and Wyatt Armstrong have been named the Beth Prince State Farm Athletes of the Week.
Beck (No. 1 singles) and Smith and Armstrong (No. 1 doubles) competed in the individual sectional round of singles and doubles tournaments last week at the University of Indianapolis.
Beck topped Southport's Steven Thang 7-6 (8), 6-4 to advance in the tournament. He is the first individual singles sectional champion in Southwestern history.
Smith and Armstrong improved to 23-1 with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Perry Meridian's Fulton Jones and Vansui Thang, which earned them an individual doubles sectional championship.

Regional competition is set for Saturday at Indianapolis North Central High School. The morning session will begin at 10 a.m. while the afternoon session will start at 2 p.m.
