The rescheduled Matt Scherer Invitational Track and Field Meet was held Tuesday at Red Hill Junior/Senior High School in Bridgeport. Fairfield won the boys competition with the host Salukis second and Oblong-Palestine-Hutsonville third. Sam Stimler of the Salukis won both the 100 and 200 meters. He also anchored two record setting relay teams-the 4x100 meters with Clayton Roney, Brennan Potts and Zayden Loudermilk in a school and meet record 44.6 seconds and the 4x200 meters with Roney, Loudermilk and Holden Jacobsen in a meet record 1:34.3 seconds. The girls competition was also won by Fairfield with Vincennes Rivet second and the Lady Salukis third. Caitlee Gray of the Lady Salukis did win the triple jump.
