Triton Central High School girls golf kicked off the 2024 season with a win Monday in its season opener over Rushville and Greenfield-Central.
At Hawk’s Tail Golf Course in Greenfield, Kennedy Hall led the victorious Tigers with a 48. Lindsay Huxford (55), Jaylee Davis (56) and Hanna Fink (58) helped Triton Central post a team score of 217 that defeated Rushville (219) by two strokes and Greenfield-Central (233) by 16 strokes.
Rushville’s Emma Tressler was the match medalist with a round of 45.
Kynsey Hasty and Tanessa O’Neal each shot 54 to lead Greenfield-Central.

Southwestern 224, Morristown Inc., Hauser Inc.
At Blue Bear Golf Club in Shelbyville, Aurora Belton posted an 8-over par score of 44 to lead the Spartans to the team victory.
Also competing for Southwestern were Sydney Griffin (53), Taryn Hoeing (60) and Emma Chandler (67).
Clara Hale led Morristown with a 61. Jorja Geise shot 68.
Lydia Taylor topped Hauser’s scorecard with a 65. Cheyanne Moody (66) and Beckah Sessions (68) also participated in the school’s first ever girls golf match.
