In a battle of state-ranked soccer programs, Class A, No. 11 Shawe Memorial defeated Class A, No. 13 Southwestern, 4-0.
At Shawe Memorial in Madison Wednesday, Martin Gomez scored two goals and had an assist for the Hilltoppers (8-1-2). Rodrigo Reyes-Miranda and Pedro Gondim also scored goals.
Clark Nichter was credited with six saves in goal.
A rematch could occur next month at the Southwestern Sectional.
Southwestern (9-3-1) hosts Central Christian Friday.

At Triton Central, Sierra Holverson led the Marauders (15-5) to the victory with a team-high eight kills and 21 digs.
Sophie Rahmany delivered six service aces. Aubry Dowling had 23 digs. Amelia Anderson collected 23 assists.
Lucy May led Triton Central (12-6) with eight kills. Alaina Darlage finished with 17 digs. Maryrose Felling earned 13 assists.
Mt. Vernon won the junior varsity match, 25-19, 25-20.
Maecy Cord led the Tigers with four kills. Keely O’Gara had 13 digs.
