Emmie Higgins collected her fifth medalist honor of the season Tuesday at the Greensburg Country Club to lead Shelbyville to a 220-222 victory over Greensburg.
Higgins’ 9-hole round of 50 bested the field by two strokes.
Also competing for Shelbyville were Riley Everette (52), Sophia Asher (58), Kylie Stader (60) and Maddy Jones (60).
Lydia Hersley led the Pirates with a 53.

Martinsville 6, Shelbyville 1
At Shelbyville, six different Artesians scored goals to deal the host Golden Bears (2-1) their first loss of the season.
Carter Fultz, Sean McDougal, Jonathan Dalton, Jacob Hawley, Charlie Rawlins and Jacob Toloday scored to keep Martinsville undefeated at 4-0.
Joao Rivera scored Shelbyville’s lone goal off a Brock Wischmeyer assist in the first half.
Indianapolis Scecina 7, Triton Central 2
At Triton Central, the visiting Crusaders scored five second-half goals to secure the Indiana Crossroads Conference victory.
Seven different Crusaders scored goals while Brogan Maguire and Dreik Marin-Ballesteros combined for five saves in goal.
Scecina improved to 2-1 (2-1 ICC) while Triton Central dropped to 0-3 (0-1 ICC).
Girls soccer
Lawrenceburg 8, Shelbyville 0
At Lawrenceburg, Preslee Rugg and Stevi Peak each scored two goals to push Class 2A, No. 5 Lawrenceburg to 5-0 this season.
Hillary Knippenberg earned the shutout in goal.
Shelbyville dropped to 2-2 this season.
Boys tennis
Seymour 4, Shelbyville 1
At Shelbyville, the No. 1 doubles team of Aiden Smith and Wyatt Armstrong produced the Golden Bears’ only win. They improved to 5-1 this season with a straight-set win, 7-6 (9), 6-3.
The Owls lost just four games in the other four matches.
Shelbyville dropped to 1-5 this season.
The doubles pairing of Aiden Alton and Cooper Reed won against Seymour, 8-2. Zack Lakes, Eli Connolly and Drake Tillison lost JV singles matches.
Volleyball
Morristown def. Edinburgh, 25-7, 25-16, 25-13
At Morristown, Brooklyn Carlton had 10 kills and four digs to propel the Yellow Jackets to the Mid-Hoosier Conference win.
Morristown improved to 3-3 (0-1 MHC) while Edinburgh stayed winless at 0-8 (0-2 MHC).
Also for Morristown, Avery Everhart contributed seven kills. Zoey Coons finished with six kills and six digs. Kindall Dorsey had a team-high 18 digs.
