Prep Report: Sego leads Triton Central to win over Waldron

Eli Sego scored a game-high 29 points to lead Triton Central to a 63-27 win Friday over Waldron and move into third place on the career scoring list at Triton Central.

The Tigers led 33-11 at halftime then Sego scored 15 points in the third quarter to seal the victory.

Eight more Tigers scored, led by Grant Long’s eight. Henry Kemper had six.

Eli Stewart led Waldron with 10 points.

Boys basketball

Hauser 77, Morristown 52

At Morristown, four Jets scored in double figures to lead Class A, No. 2 Hauser to its first Mid-Hoosier Conference win of the season.

Gavin Keller scored a game-high 22 points to lead the Jets (2-1). Kameron Blair added 19 while Stryker Gill (14 points) and R.J. Foster (10) also scored in double digits.

Hauser led 27-11 after one quarter and extended the lead to 20 points by halftime.

Kellen Crim topped Morristown (1-2, 0-1 MHC) with 17 points. Brayden Anderson finished with 13 points.

Girls basketball

Triton Central 78, Waldron 15

At Triton Central, the Tigers raced to a 45-13 lead by halftime and cruised to their fifth victory of the season.

Maryrose Felling scored a game-high 29 points to push her career scoring total to 1,401 points.

Kate Collier finished with 10 points. Ten more Tigers got into the scoring column, led by seven from Lexi Eubanks.

Brooklyn Milbourn led Waldron (3-4) with eight points.

Southwestern 42, Cambridge City Lincoln 15

At Cambridge City, nine different Spartans scored to up their record to 2-7 this season.

Claire Utley led Southwestern with eight points. Callie Beck finished with seven while Bryla Dunbar and Saio Villanueva each scored six.

Reilynn Ferguson led the Eagles (0-8) with seven points.
