Morristown lost just two games over four matches to secure the championship in its season-opening invitational Saturday.
The Yellow Jackets went three sets with Milan in the opener before prevailing, 25-22, 21-25, 15-13. Avery Everhart had a team-high seven kills and three service aces for Morristown. Addison Osborne finished with 12 assists.
Morristown then swept Southwestern, 25-14, 25-10. Sarah Hurst and Brooklyn Carlton each had four assists for the Yellow Jackets.
The Yellow Jackets prevailed over Edinburgh, 25-21, 25-13 to advance to the championship match. Everhart had a team-high eight kills.
In the championship, Morristown dropped the second set but battled through the third to win the match, 25-20, 23-25, 16-14. Everhart and Carlton combined for 16 kills. Anna Osborne and Abby Hawk each had 13 digs. Addison Osborne notched 18 assists.

At Whiteland, Kinley Waalkens scored three goals to lead the Warriors to a season-opening shutout victory over the Tigers.
Kaitlynn Ciampa and Emma Bright also scored goals for Whiteland.
Volleyball
Waldron def. Medora, 25-10, 25-10, 25-12
At Waldron, Ashlyn Ramsey and Maleah Williams combined for 11 kills to lead the Mohawks to their first victory of the season.
Williams and Averi Scheele each had seven aces.
Waldron is at Indian Creek tonight.
