Every possession mattered Friday in a Mid-Hoosier Conference clash for Morristown at North Decatur.
Brayden Anderson had a three-pointer in the fourth quarter and the junior and Jake Miesse combined to hit 3 of 4 free throws to get the visiting Yellow Jackets a 36-34 victory.
Morristown (10-4, 2-1 MHC) led 23-20 at halftime. Each team scored just five points in the third quarter and the 3-point lead held. Four different Chargers scored in the fourth quarter but it was not enough.
Brody Smith led Morristown, winners of five of its last six, with 11 points. Anderson finished with eight points. Kellen Crim had seven.
Owen Rennekamp led North Decatur (6-9, 2-2) with 10 points.
The Yellow Jackets host Edinburgh (4-10, 1-4) Friday.

Triton Central 41, Indianapolis Lutheran 35
At Triton Central Saturday, Eli Sego and Henry Kemper combined to score 10 points in the fourth quarter to get Class 2A, No. 7 Triton Central its sixth-straight win.
The Tigers improved to 12-2.
Sego finished with a game-high 14 points — six in the final quarter when the Tigers outscored the Saints, 14-9.
Jackson Faust had eight points while Grant Long and Brody Hartman each scored six.
Jarrett Harris led the Saints (3-11) with 10 points. JeVon Perry hit three 3s for nine points.
Triton Central is at Eastern Hancock (7-6) Saturday. The Royals are the host school for 2A Sectional 43 in March.
Edinburgh 48, Southwestern 39
At Edinburgh Friday, the host Lancers trailed 27-15 at halftime but cut the deficit to 31-28 by the start of the fourth quarter.
Bailey Totten scored 12 of his game-high 21 points in the fourth quarter to get Edinburgh its second win of the season over the Spartans (3-9, 0-2 MHC).
Max Dodson scored seven of his 11 points in the third quarter to spark the Lancers’ comeback cause.
Cecil Newton led Southwestern with 15 points. Jay Utley had nine.
The Spartans were outscored at the free throw line 16-3.
Edinburgh won the junior varsity game, 31-23. Brady Mitchell led the Spartans with nine points.
Southwestern is at Waldron (8-5, 1-2) Friday.
Girls basketball
Edinburgh 49, Southwestern 19
At Edinburgh Friday, the Lancers quickly built a 20-0 lead and cruised to the MHC win.
Kinzie Purvis tallied eight of her game-high 16 points in the opening quarter. Bella Turner and Kenna Streeval each scored 11 to help Edinburgh improve to 11-9 (3-2).
Claire Utley led Southwestern (3-17, 0-6) with five points.
The Spartans are scheduled to host Brown County (2-19) Tuesday.
