Plymouth High School is searching for a new athletic director after Josh Troyer submitted his resignation.
The resignation is effective July 3.
Troyer joined Plymouth High School as athletic director in June 2023, serving just over three years in the role. During that time, he oversaw the school's athletic programs, working alongside student-athletes, coaches, and families to support PHS sports.
In a statement, school officials expressed gratitude for Troyer's commitment to the program. "We would like to thank Josh for the time, energy, and commitment he has poured into Plymouth High School athletics," the statement read. "His dedication to PHS athletics is greatly appreciated."
Plymouth High School says the search for Troyer's replacement will begin immediately. "We look forward to finding the right person to continue leading and supporting our outstanding student-athletes, coaches, and athletic department," officials said.
The school wished Troyer well in his next professional opportunity.
Sources indicate Troyer may be accepting the athletic director position at Winamac. That position opened when Bryan Leverentz agreed to become the ahtletic director at Benton Central.
