The soccer postseason opens tonight for both the Plymouth boys and girls teams.
The Rockies girls squad will host 3A Sectional 4 in tonight's only quarterfinal of the five-team field. Plymouth (2-13-1) will match up with Elkhart (5-8-3) in a 6 p.m. sectional opener.
The winner will play in the Thursday semifinal against Concord, who received the bye.
In the other half of the bracket, 19th-ranked (3A) Goshen will play #16 (3A) Northridge in the sectional's other semifinal.
The championship is scheduled for 7 p.m. Saturday.
Meanwhile, the Plymouth boys will have to avenge a regular season loss to advance. The Rockies are at the 3A sectional site hosted by 15th-ranked Goshen. At 7 p.m., Plymouth (6-9-1) will play seventh-ranked Northridge in the final quarterfinal.
Northridge (13-1-2) defeated Plymouth on September 23, 6-1.
The winner of the Plymouth - Northridge quarterfinal will play the winner of the 5 p.m. quarterfinal, East Noble - Elkhart.
On Monday, Concord shut out Mishawaka 9-0 to advance to a Wednesday semifinal with Goshen.
The championship is scheduled for 2 p.m Saturday.
