The Plymouth Rockies boys soccer team put together a shutout performance in a win over NLC foe Mishawaka, 7-0.
Plymouth celebrated its 11 classmates on Senior Night at Kindt SoccerPlex.
Plymouth had 30 shots on goal and 46 total shots led by senior striker Franco Cruz who scored his first ever hat trick on his birthday. Cruz had five shots on goal.
Plymouth led 4-0 by halftime.
Junior captain Troy Hundt netted two goals and Diego Zelaya continued his scoring on the season with a goal that he stroked underneath a diving goalkeeper.
Senior captain Angel Pagoada scored his goal after having 4 of his 5 shots on goal saved by the Mishawaka keeper. He also added two assists.
Coach Grant Masson says the Rockies defense was solid all night and the addition of senior captain, Arnold Galeano, really helped steady the defense and the leader of the defense, Captain Nolan Arriaga made sure that the Rockies would claim a well earned clean sheet as senior keeper Alan Cantero was superb in posting the shutout.
Plymouth (5-5-1, 1-2 NLC) will play at Concord Tuesday.
Goshen falls to 0-7, -4 NLC.
