The Parkview 8th grade Lady Volleyball Braves will continue their drive for a state championship.
Monday night, they took another step toward that goal by capturing the Class 3A Sectional 7 match at Teutopolis over Sullivan. The Lady Braves won by scores of 25-23, 25-21 to run their record to 24-0 on the season.
Next up is the Illinois Elementary Schools Association (IESA) Class 3A State Finals to be held Friday and Saturday at Pana. Parkview will play in the third quarterfinal match Friday at 7 p.m. against 26-1 Staunton. Staunton won the Vandalia Class 3A Sectional over Pana Monday. Winners return on Saturday for the semi-finals and semi-final winners will play for the championship Saturday night.
