The Triton Central High School girls tennis team claimed the Shelby County Tournament title Saturday. It was the second championship in eight days as the Tigers won the Indiana Crossroads Conference championship on May 3.
TC, which is ranked No. 4 in District 4, topped Waldron 5-0 in the semifinals and Morristown 5-0 in the title match to win the county championship.
At the conference meet, Maryrose Felling (No. 1 singles), Ellie Gast (No. 3 singles) and Kate Collier and Neve Kahler (No. 1 doubles) were crowned champions. Anniston Evans (No. 2 singles) and Estelle Gearlds and Caydence Stout (No. 2 doubles) finished runner-up in their respective brackets.
Triton Central is 13-1 this season.
