Culver and Rochester played to a scoreless halftime tie in opening round girls sectional soccer action Monday.
Then the drama kicked in.
Taylor Navarra scored her 16th goal of the season. It came in the 47th minute and for approximately 15 minutes the Zebras held the 1-0 advantage.
But Culver's leading scorer would respond twice. First, a goal in the 62nd minute to tie the sectional quarterfinal at 1-1. Then, in the 74th minute, McCune again to give Culver the 2-1 lead they would hold to the end and advance.
Culver (12-1-2) advances to the sectional semifinal to play Manchester (10-5-1).
Rochester's season comes to a close with a record of 8-6-1.
