Lincoln eighth grade girls slip past Argos ARGOS - Lincoln's eighth grade basketball team battled non-conference foe Argos in a classic that stayed close throughout. The Red Storm team came away with a close 27-21 victory. Madie Mann led the way with nine points while Clare Sheedy and Summer South chipped in with five points apiece. Also getting into the scoring column were Sara Hunter, Hannah Friberg, and Lexi Rose. The defense played inspired basketball that led to 14 steals. Sheedy added 5 rebounds. The win takes their record to 3-0. The girls will return to action on Saturday in the Brad Eby Classic at Northwood Middle School. The Lady Red Storm open up against NELMSC conference foe Lakeview in their opening round game. Game time is approximately 10:00 a.m.
