The Lawrence County wrestling Indians are 2026 Robinson Class 1A regional champions.
They captured the first regional crown since 1998 Saturday finishing on top of the team standings in the 12-team tournament. Lawrence County was first with 229 points, Oakwood Fithian second with 208.5, host Robinson third with 152 and Cumberland fourth with 129.5.
Lawrence County had 10 individual sectional qualifiers on the day:
Dalton Baker (1st) --106 pounds
Cale Seitzinger (1st) --150 pounds
Nick Moorehead (1st) --175 pounds
Kyler Guercio (2nd) --120 pounds
Hudson Meek (2nd) --144 pounds
Daniel Kiser (2nd) --157 pounds (Kiser also won his 100th career match during the tournament)
Jude DeCausey (2nd) --215 pounds
Drew Seitzinger (3rd) --126 pounds
Malikye Williams (3rd) --190 pounds
Grayson Allender (3rd) --113 pounds
Next up for the wrestlers id the team dual regional this weekend at Carterville. The individual wrestling regional will be later at Vandalia.
