It was a rough start to the new season Monday for the Lawrenceville Lady softball Indians.
They were beaten 19-6 in 5 innings by the Carmi-White County (CWC) Lady Bulldogs at Phil Alsman Field in Lawrenceville.
The hosts led 3-2 after 2 innings, but the visitors scored 7 runs in the top of the 3rd and rolled the rest of the way.
CWC scored 19 runs on 21 hits and made 5 errors while the Lady Indians scored 6 runs on 5 hits and committed 4 errors.
Allison Evans, Addy Brush and Alyssa Griggs each had hits and RBIS for Lawrenceville.

The 0-1 Lady Indians hit the road Tuesday to Albion to meet Edwards County in both JV and Varsity action.
