It was senior night Monday for the Lawrenceville Lady basketball Indians against their county rivals, the Red Hill Lady Salukis and a senior led them to victory.
Mallory Lockhart, one of 8 seniors honored prior to the game scored a game high 15 points as the Lady Indians won the game 50-25 at Lawrenceville.
They led 9-6 after one quarter and began to gradually pull away in the second quarter to lead 27-15 at the half.
The lead increased to 43-21 after three quarters before the final margin of 25 points.
Junior Addeline Sanders added 13 for the 12-17 Lady Indians, who snapped a three game losing streak.
The Lady Salukis fall to 4-14 on the season and suffered their fourth loss in a row.
Caitlee Gray led them in scoring with 13 points.
Next up for the Lady Indians is a non-conference date at North Clay Wednesday to end the regular season.
The Lady Salukis will enter into first round play Saturday in the Class 1A Neoga Regional at Dieterich at 1 p.m.
