LAKEVILLE, IN. – LaVille Jr-Sr High School recently hosted the 2018 Hoosier North Athletic Conference Junior High Wrestling Championships.
LaVille claimed three individual conference champions in a loaded field of eight HNAC School’s and a field of talented wrestlers. LaVille’s Landen Christner started the championship run with a victory against Knox in the 120-pound weight class. Paul Dewitt continued the title effort with a pin against his competitor at 145. Finally, Sebastian Coleman rounded out the first place effort with a victory over Culver at 180.
On the strength of overall depth at crucial weight classes, the Lancers finished second overall in the team standings. LaVille had four wrestler’s finish second, four finish third, and three finish fourth. All earned important points as LaVille racked up 94 total team points.
Winamac collected 11 individual champions of the 24 weight classes on its way to 172 team points and the team trophy.
