Plymouth High School announced the appointment of Brian Hamann as the new Varsity Girls Softball Coach, pending board approval.
A PHS graduate from the class of 2000, Coach Hamann is well-acquainted with PHS Softball, having launched his coaching career here with six years on the staff.
After graduating from Plymouth, Coach Hamann attained an associate degree in business from Ancilla, where he also played soccer. He later became head coach at Culver High School, where he led the team to their first conference and sectional wins in over a decade. In addition, Coach Hamann has accumulated over ten years of experience coaching travel softball. He was selected to be a North Coach for 1A in the North vs. South Elite games for four years.
Coach Hamann and his wife, Brandi, have three children, Jeremy, Landyn, and Lydia, and currently reside in Plymouth. In addition to coaching, Hamann is a third generation owner of Standard Plumbing, Heating, & A/C.
Coach Hamann shared his enthusiasm, stating, “I am looking forward to returning to where my coaching career started. I look forward to helping them achieve excellence both on and off the field and developing well-rounded individuals.”
