The Red Hill-Lawrenceville golf Salukis finished in a tie for fifth place Wednesday in the team standings of the Class 2A Regional played at the Effingham Country Club.
Effingham (St Anthony) captured the team title with a 291 total, Effingham finished tied with Olney (Richland County) for second each with 302, Mt Zion was fourth at 303.
The top three teams advance to the Highland Sectional next Monday at the Oak Brook Golf Club in Edwardsville.
Two Salukis will advance to the section as individuals. Junior Nox Gray carded a 79 to qualify and sophomore Bradley Buchanon shot 80 on the day and will compete. The medalist was Ayden Nealis of Olney (Richland County) with a top score of 70
