Four Shelby County wrestlers have been named the Beth Prince State Farm Athletes of the Week.
From Shelbyville High School, Brady Bryant (photo) and Tripp Garner earned individual Hoosier Heritage Conference championships on Saturday at New Castle.
At 157 pounds, Bryant defeated Yorktown’s Izaiah Hudson in the championship match, 7-3.
Garner finished 3-0 at 126 pounds and did not have a match go longer than 60 seconds before he scored a pinfall victory.

From Triton Central, Conner Phipps and Braxton Zimmerman finished unbeaten at Speedway on Saturday to earn inaugural Hoosier Legends Conference titles.
At 138 pounds, Phipps defeated Speedway’s Jeremiah Augustin, 16-1, then pinned Monrovia’s Colby Schmaltz in 3:13 to collect the title.
In a wild championship match at 150 pounds, Zimmerman outlasted Tri-West’s Rex Hornaday, 18-16, to earn the title.
