Two Shelbyville wrestlers and two Triton Central wrestlers captured conference championships Saturday.
At the Hoosier Heritage Conference Championships at New Castle, Shelbyville junior Tripp Garner and senior Brady Bryant were undefeated to stand atop the podium.
Garner (main photo, third from left) finished 3-0 at 126 pounds and did not have a match go longer than 60 seconds before he scored a pinfall victory.
Garner opened with a 28-second pinfall win over Greenfield-Central’s Israel House. In the semifinal round, he had another 28-second pinfall win over Yorktown’s Brayden Williams.
Garner pinned Delta’s Nolan Craig in 56 seconds in the championship match.

At 157 pounds, Bryant (photo) received a forfeit into the semifinal round where he defeated New Palestine’s Ryker Yonts, 14-2.
In the championship, Bryant topped Yorktown’s Izaiah Hudson, 7-3.
Also finishing in the top four for Shelbyville in its final appearance in an HHC event were Cameron Miller (4th at 165), Xavier Spiegal (4th at 190) an Hayden Dwyer (4th at 215).
The Golden Bears totaled 111 points to finish seventh, just ahead of Mt. Vernon (110.5).
New Palestine won the HHC title with 258.5 points. New Castle was runner-up with 189 to finish ahead of Delta (187.5), Greenfield-Central (139.5), Pendleton Heights (117.5), Yorktown (113.5), Shelbyville and Mt. Vernon.
Shelbyville will compete in the Hoosier Legends Conference next year.

Hoosier Legends Conference Championships
At Speedway, Triton Central’s Conner Phipps and Braxton Zimmerman finished unbeaten to earn inaugural HLC titles.
At 138 pounds, Phipps (photo, right), a junior, defeated Speedway’s Jeremiah Augustin, 16-1, then pinned Monrovia’s Colby Schmaltz in 3:13 to collect the title.
Zimmerman, (photo, left) a senior, quickly pinned Monrovia’s Jacob Williamson to reach the championship at 150 pounds.
In a wild championship match, Zimmerman outlasted Tri-West’s Rex Hornaday, 18-16, to earn the title.
Also advancing to championship matches for Triton Central and finishing runner-up were Gage Bryant (120 pounds), Anthony Toon (144), Landon Ball (157) and Jacob Herman (190).
Winning third-place matches were Braxton Nufio (113), Chance Uhls (132) and Bane Metcalfe (175).
Monrovia won the first-ever HLC title with 211 points.
Indian Creek (187) was runner-up ahead of Triton Central (177), Beech Grove (157), Speedway (156) and Tri-West (144).
Shelbyville and Greenwood will join the HLC in the fall.
