Four Morristown volleyball players were recently honored by the Mid-Hoosier Conference for their performances this season.
Twelve players were named All-MHC including Morristown’s Brooklyn Crouch (team-high 233 kills) and Avery Everhart (177 kills), who finished as their team’s top two hitters.
Waldron’s Emerson Lindsey and Maleah Williams and Southwestern’s Claire Utley also were selected All-MHC.
Also named All-Conference were North Decatur’s Sarah Moeller, Sophie Rohls and Miley Scudder, Hauser’s Hayden Dickey and Charleston Gelfius, South Decatur’s Taylor Somers, and Edinburgh’s Kenna Streeval.
Gelfius was named the conference’s Most Outstanding Player.
Eleven more athletes were selected All-MHC Honorable Mention.
Morristown’s Abby Hawk and Katie Theobald and Waldron’s Ashlyn Ramsey were honored along with South Decatur’s Reagan Benge, Elizabeth Bennett, Raygan Harrison and Laney Seegers, Edinburgh’s Lucy Buck and Kinzie Purvis, Hauser’s Regan Mack, and North Decatur’s Lanee Rennekamp.
North Decatur (17-16) captured the MHC championship with a 6-0 mark. South Decatur (16-14, 4-2) was runner-up ahead of Hauser (9-23, 3-3), Morristown (12-17, 3-3), Waldron (7-21, 2-4), Edinburgh (3-22, 1-4) and Southwestern (4-22, 1-4).
North Decatur head coach Kylie Ricke was named MHC Coach of the Year.
