Early St. Joe lead seals fate for Pilgrims JV SOUTH BEND - Plymouth Pilgrims JV watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 10-0 loss to South Bend St. Joseph on Wednesday. South Bend St. Joseph scored on a double by Zach Kennedy, a walk by A.J. Rotkins, and a single by Kyle Tupper in the first inning. The Plymouth Pilgrims JV struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing South Bend St. Joseph, giving up ten runs. South Bend St. Joseph got things started in the first inning when Kennedy doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs. One bright spot for Plymouth Pilgrims JV was a single by Brady Pittman in the first inning. Jared Cain earned the victory on the mound for South Bend St. Joseph. He went three innings, allowing zero runs on one hit, striking out two and walking one. Matt Eck recorded the last nine outs to earn the save for South Bend St. Joseph.
