Culver scored five times in the bottom of the 7th to force extras but Rochester's single run in the 8th let the Zebras escape with a Friday road win.
Rochester (5-3) led through the first six-and-a-half innings by scoring twice in the first and four more in the third to go up 6-0.
Culver got on the board with a single run in the fourth. After both teams scored twice in the fifth Rochester still appeared to have a comfortable 8-3 lead going into the sixth inning.
But Culver (6-2) scored twice in the sixth and the five-run rally in the Cavalier's final at-bat overcame single runs by Rochester in the final two innings to force the game into an eighth inning.
Rochester sophomore Aubrey Wilson accounted four of the Zebras' seven runs batted in with a 2-for-5 day including a home run and a double. Teammate Darrah Strasser was 2-for-3 with three runs scored.
Grace Milam was 3-for-4 for Culver with four RBI.
