Both the Lawrenceville-Red Hill boys' and girls' cross-country Indians are heading to the sectional.
Both qualified after competing in the Class 1A Toledo Cumberland Regional meet Saturday held at Mattoon. The girls finished in 5th place and were led on the day by Lexi Brooke, who placed 11th out of 57 runners in a time of 20:26.
The boys finished in a tie with Teutopolis for 6th but lost the tiebreaker and ended up 7th. They were paced by senior Braydan Morrison who finished 9th out of the field of 79 runners in 16:57. The top 7 teams advance to the sectional along with the top 5 individual runners that were not on advancing teams. The sectional will be also held next Saturday at Mattoon.
