Chargers Move into Tie for Second with Win PLYMOUTH – Ancilla College (15-7, 8-4) moved into a three way tie for second in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association with their 93-71 victory over Kalamazoo Valley Thursday night. Ancilla joins Lansing and Mid Michigan in the tie for second. Mike Green and Ty’Sean Sheppard led the Chargers with 19 points, each with Jerron Tatum adding 17 of his own. Josh Alcindor and Albert Haskins also reached double figures with 10, apiece. Sheppard also collected a game-high 13 rebounds, while mike Hemingway paved the way for many of the points with seven assists. The victory was a great gift to head coach Brian Pearison who celebrated his 40th birthday today. Ancilla will get a chance to break part of the tie for second in the conference when they meet Mid Michigan Saturday at 7 p.m. in Lansing, MI. Mid Michigan had to move their home game due to other activities on campus that day. Ancilla returns home on Monday to face Glen Oaks in a twice rescheduled game. They entertain Jackson College on Wednesday to complete their four games in seven days scheduled. Both home games begin at 7:30.
