The Casey-Westfield Warriors scored 8 unanswered runs to break a 3-3 tie after the first inning and went on to defeat the Red Hill baseball Salukis 11-3 Thursday at the Tank Farm in Bridgeport.
The Warriors scored 11 times on only 5 hits and made 2 errors while the Salukis scored their 3 runs on only 3 hits and made 5 costly errors. The Salukis also had three runners thrown out on the basepaths.
Carter Davis homered and had 2 RBI for the Salukis and Brody Wattles had 1 hit and drove in the other Saluki run. Jaxon Kiser had the only other Red Hill hit. Keegan Liston went only 2 innings and gave up 7 runs to take the loss.
The loss occurred on Senior Day in the final regular season game, so the Salukis finish the 2026 campaign with a 13-10 record. They will now head to the post-season and face Stewardson-Strasburg in a semi-final of the Class 1A Altamont Regional Wednesday at 7 p.m.
