Zach Leavens of Grayville hit a free throw with 5 seconds left in overtime and a final shot fell short as the Red Hill Salukis had their season end Monday night.
They were edged by the Bison 76-75 in opening round action of the Class 1A Bluford Webber Regional tournament in Bridgeport.
The hosts led 20-10 after one quarter and 34-26 at the half, but Grayville responded in the third quarter with solid play offensively to tie the game at 53 after three quarters.
The fourth quarter see-sawed back and forth before ending up tied at 69 at the end of regulation, forcing the extra period.
Leavens led the scoring with a game high 28 points for Grayville, which won two of three matchups with the Salukis this season.
Red Hill placed four in double figures on the night-Ozzy Ash and Avery Arbuckle each with 18 points, Elijah Stitt 15 and Marcus Davis 14, but it was not enough to prevent the Salukis from losing their 5th game in a row to end the year at 14-17.
Grayville is now 13-19 and will meet host Bluford-Webber in semi-final play Wednesday at Bluford.
