The Lawrenceville baseball Indians used a strong pitching performance by Emery Ivers to defeat visiting Oblong-Palestine-Hutsonville (OPH) 6-1 Wednesday at Unit 20 Ballpark in Lawrenceville.
The righthander went 7 innings and allowed 1 run on 3 hits with 9 strikeouts and 0 walks.
He also homered in the contest as the Tribe scored 6 runs on 8 hits and committed 2 errors.
Wyalan Bice had 2 hits and an RBI and Hunter Gray and Maddox Pargin had hits and a RBI apiece.
The Indians improve to 3-1 and are scheduled to be off until Monday when they host Edwards County.
