Patricia Jean Montgomery, age 65, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at her residence.
Patricia Jean Montgomery, age 65, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at her residence. She was born July 10, 1960 in Washington, Indiana, the daughter of Harold Burkhart and Charlotte Doan Burkhart. She married Ross Montgomery, Jr. in March 1984, and he preceded her in death in 2021.
Patricia worked as a rehabilitation aide at Aperion Nursing Home. She enjoyed sewing and quilting, Cardinals baseball, and was an avid reader of mystery books.
Preceding Patricia in death were her parents, sister, Janet Williams and brother, Michael Burkhart.
Survivors include: children, Ann (Matt) Yarber of Lawrenceville, Ross Montgomery of Lawrenceville, Patrick Montgomery of Bridgeport; brothers, Don Burkhart of Petersburg, Indiana, and Joseph Burkhart of Petersburg, Indiana.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 22, 2025, 1:00 p.m. at Emmons-Macey and Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. till the service hour of 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
