
Michael Alan Pinkstaff, age 77 of Bridgeport, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Haven Nursing Home of Bridgeport.
Michael Alan Pinkstaff, age 77 of Bridgeport, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Haven Nursing Home of Bridgeport. He was the son of Bill and Martha (Harvey) Pinkstaff Wells.
On October 12, 1973, he married Shirley Patterson.
After graduating from Lawrenceville High School in 1966, he served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was also a member of the National Guard and retired after 20 years of service.
Michael earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Southern Indiana. He worked for many years at Senco Construction as a construction foreman until his retirement. Throughout his career he had been a Union Carpenter and had been a member of the American Legion.
Surviving family includes: his wife of 51 years- Shirley Pinkstaff of Bridgeport; two daughters- Darla Rose of California and Hope Moore and husband Rick of Bridgeport; one sister- Vicki Lockhart; two brothers- Ed Wells and Glen Wells of rural Lawrenceville; three grandsons- Cody Moore of Springfield, Connor Moore of Bridgeport, and Levi Rose of California; two granddaughters- Caitlin Payne of Evansville, IN and Kym Rose of California; four great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; three great-great-grandsons; three great-great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: his father- John Pinkstaff; his mother and step-father- Martha and Clifford Wells; one brother- Don Wells; and one son-in-law- Steve Rose.
Michael’s wishes to be cremated will be carried out. There are no formal services planned. Cunningham Funeral Home is assisting his family during their time of loss.
