Marjorie Davis, age 103, of Vincennes, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Colonial Assisted Living, Vincennes, Indiana.
Marjorie Davis, age 103, of Vincennes, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at Colonial Assisted Living, Vincennes, Indiana. She was born May 16, 1921 in Crawford County, Illinois, the daughter of Charles Parker and Grace Burnner Parker. She married Clarence E. Davis on October 1, 1939, and he preceded her in death October 17, 1993.
Marjorie was a homemaker. She was a member of Free Methodist Church in Lawrenceville. She enjoyed being with her family and babysitting with her grandchildren. She was a devoted wife and mother. Marjorie will always be remembered for her big smile. Her hobbies included crochet and crossword puzzles. She was an excellent cook.
Preceding Marjorie in death were her parents, husband, Clarence Davis, five brothers and seven sisters.
Survivors include Kay (Spike) Schultheis of Vincennes, Rick (Tina) Davis of Robinson, Mike (Peggy) Davis of Lawrenceville, Sherry (Galen) Holtz of Lawrenceville, Jan Davis of Lawrenceville, Jill (Mike) Durnil of Washington, Indiana, Gena (Steve) Sakowicz of Lawrenceville, and Kim (Mark) Jones of Lawrenceville; twenty-two grandchildren and 55 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 10, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Lawrenceville Free Methodist Church. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. till the service hour of 11:00 a.m. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery in Flat Rock. Memorial donations may be made to the Lawrenceville Free Methodist Church.
