Louella C. (Lawson) Halluin, age 94 of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2026, at the Haven of Bridgeport.
Louella C. (Lawson) Halluin, 94, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 30, 2026, at the Haven of Bridgeport. She was born on December 29, 1931, in Bridgeport to William David Lawson and Ethel Jenny (Gates) Lawson.
On December 3, 1949, she married the love of her life Sammie Roy Halluin. They celebrated over 47 years together until his passing on October 11, 1997.
Louella was a member of the Free Methodist Church of Bridgeport. She was a homemaker and caregiver. She was known to most as “Nana”.
Those left to honor her legacy of love and kindness include: her granddaughter- Marybeth Moudy and husband Mike; two great-grandchildren- Cierra Brazier and Nicholas Brazier; one niece- Patricia Willis; one nephew- Donnie Seward; nine great-nieces and nephews- Kevin Biggs and wife Lori, Jayson Crump and wife Kris, Joanne Crump, Tyler Limes, Jordan Seward, Maria Yandell, Eddie Cummins, Yolanda Julian and Kelly Julian; two great -great-nieces-Lindsey Holman and Alyssa DeLong; and her neighbor that the family would like to thank for her care and friendship to Louella- Shirley Pinkstaff of Bridgeport.
Louella was preceded in death by: her husband- Sammie Halluin; two sons- Danny Halluin and Stevie Halluin; her parents- William and Ethel Lawson; eight sisters; three brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 3, 2026, at the Bridgeport city Cemetery. Cunningham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
