Jonathan "Jon" Jay Hayn, 47, of Argos, passed away August 10, 2026, at 5:08 p.m. at his family’s farm in rural Argos, Indiana following a grain bin accident.
On December 16, 1978, in South Bend, Indiana he was born to Merl Hayn and Susan (Wolfe) Hayn. He’s lived in the Argos community all his life.
Jon was a Farmer with his family at Hayn Family Farms in Argos, Indiana for over 25 years.
Jon was a graduate of Argos High School with the class of 1998. He attended Argos First Baptist Church now Cornerstone Church of Argos, Indiana and was a member of Hoosier Old Wheels, Plymouth, Indiana. Jonathan loved all sports, but his heart was basketball and always made sure to watch Duke and North Carolina. He had a passion for Sprint Car and Late Model racing and had attended many races at numerous tracks. He could always be counted on to be at his nieces and nephew sporting events.

Sister – Karin Conklin and husband James of Argos, Indiana
Brother – Michael Hayn of Argos, Indiana
Nieces – Elaina and Kaelyn and Nephew – Benton
Numerous aunts, uncle and cousins
He is preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents – Don and Mary Hayn and Maternal Grandparents – Willard Wolfe and Celesta Conover
Friends may visit with the family on Monday August 17, 2026, from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Cornerstone Church, 11525 State Road 10, Argos, Indiana.
Funeral Services will follow at 6:00 p.m. at the church with Rev. Nick Webber and James Ely. A private burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos, Indiana.
The family's wish is that donations be made to the Argos Athletics Department, 500 Yearick St., Argos, Indiana.
