
Florence Irene Bogert, age 90, of Campbell, California, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at El Camino Health in Los Gatos, California.
Florence Irene Bogert, age 90, of Campbell, California, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at El Camino Health in Los Gatos, California. She was born on March 22, 1935 in Lawrenceville, Illinois, the daughter of Orville Newell and Edna Moore Newell. He married Kenneth Donald Bogert and he preceded her in death.
Florence was a member of the Lawrenceville Free Methodist Church. Florence left Lawrenceville in the 1960s to pursue her dreams in California and married the love of her life, Ken Bogert. She worked a variety of jobs, mostly in administrative positions and retired an administrative supervisor from West Valley College in Saratoga, California. She and Ken were avid collectors of fine china, antiques, and vintage cars. Florence and her husband did not have any children of her own but they were loving foster parents and loved all their nieces and nephews. Aunt Flo (“Aunt Popo”) was beautiful inside and out. She was sweet and kind, generous, had a good heart, and a great sense of humor. She loved life and lived it to the fullest. She loved her Lord and is now with Him, Ken, her family and all the faithful who have gone before her!
Preceding Florence in death was her husband, Kenneth; her parents; siblings Margaret, Tom, Hugh, Mary, James, Kelly, Martha, Bob, Esther, Arthur “Bud.”
Florence is survived by many nieces and nephews and she will be missed by all who knew her as a friend or as Aunt Flo, aka Aunt Popo.
Graveside services will be on Friday, July 18 at 1:00 pm at Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
