Erica I. Schwartz, age 37, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025 at her residence.
Erica I. Schwartz, age 37, of Lawrenceville, Illinois, passed away Saturday, May 10, 2025 at her residence. She was born February 9, 1988 in Evansville, Indiana, the daughter of Berle “Peanut” Shoulders and Francie Brink Stoltz. She married Ryan Schwartz May 15, 2015, and he survives.
Erica was a graduate of Lawrenceville High School in 2006. She worked at Walmart in various positions for 16 years. Erica was a member of the Wesleyan Christian Church in Lawrenceville. Her hobbies included gambling, Bingo, going to Chuck E. Cheese, and listening to Brantley Gilbert. Erica was always willing to help anyone who was in need. Erica and Ryan loved their children and enjoyed attending all their various activities.
Preceding Erica in death were her paternal grandfather, Berle Shoulders, Sr.; maternal grandfather, Jim “Binky” Brink.
Survivors include: husband, Ryan; two daughters, Rylee Schwartz, and Kylee Schwartz; one son, Braxton Schwartz; father, Berle “Peanut” (April) Shoulders of Sumner; mother, Francie (Leo) Brink Stoltz of Palestine; paternal grandparents, Brenda Chappel of Lawrenceville; maternal grandparents, Wendel and Vickie Patterson of Robinson; sister, Ashlee (Joey) Crump of Lawrenceville; niece, Kynlee Crump; nephew, Easton Crump; step-sisters, Samantha Mason, Jennifer (Brad) Mayes; step-brother, Clayton Mason; great-aunt, Marge Kasinger; mother-in-law, Threasa Schwartz of Bridgeport; several nieces and nephews; lots of aunts and uncles that adored her; a special cousin, Acen Rankin that she adored.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. till the service hour of 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home.
