Douglas E. Powers, 71, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2026, at his residence.
He was born February 28, 1955, in Michigan to Edward Powers and Kathrine (Morgan) Powers.
He served in the United States Army. Doug was always up for a ride on his motorcycle. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time and making memories with his family.
He married Ginny (Harms) Powers on June 21, 1980, she survives.
He is also survived by his son, Scott Harms; daughter, Heather (James) Williams; son, Tony Powers and daughter, Misti Powers; 8 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Mike (wife, Belinda) Power and sister, Linda Jett.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Doug Powers, Jr.; 1 brother and 2 sisters.
