Denford “Denny” Evans, 65, of Tippecanoe

Denford “Denny” Evans, 65, of Tippecanoe, Indiana, passed away at 7:32 A.M. on Monday, May 4, 2026, at his residence.

He was born in Welch, West Virginia on April 11, 1961, the son of Ray and Mary Belle (Bradford) Evans.

Denny had a deep love for his family and friends and found the most joy in simply being around the people he cared about—talking, laughing, and sharing stories. He never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel welcome. Known for his quick wit and unique sense of humor, he was often the funniest person in the room, leaving a lasting impression on anyone who spent time with him.

Music was a big part of Denny’s life. He loved playing guitar and was a lifelong fan of The Beatles. Whether it was through music or conversation, he had a way of connecting with people that made them feel at ease.

In his younger years, he could often be found working on vehicles and helping others when they needed it, but those closest to him will remember him most for his personality—his humor, his stories, and the way he brought people together.

Denny shared a special bond with his grandson Atticus, especially in recent years. Their time together meant a great deal to him, and that relationship was something he truly cherished.

Survivors include his children, Patty (James “Josh”) Gunter of Claypool, Indiana, and Ronnie(Mao Mao) Evans of China; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Glenda (John) Tendziegloski of Tippecanoe, Indiana, Joyce Elliott of Florida, Beverly Chafin of Kentucky, and Donna Koher of Florida.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Evans; his mother, Mary Young; his son, Kevin Howard; and his brothers Danny, Randy, and Jimmy Evans, as well as his sisters Patty Hilliard, Brenda Hartley, and Carol Lester.

No services are scheduled at this time.
